All YMCA programs are tools that we use to accomplish our mission, to achieve our vision of building strong kids, strong families and strong communities, and reinforce the YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. The Shenango Valley YMCA Sea Lion Swim Team is just one of those programs. Our swim team is designed for the most competitive swimmer as well as the novice beginner, and is a positive experience for kids. Children ages 5-18 will socialize, develop swimming skills, learn to be a member of a team, and enhance their self-esteem through a healthy activity.
The league that our swim team belongs to is the Western Pennsylvania YMCA Swim League. The league has a Web page that is devoted to invitational swim meets and it can be viewed here. |
