It is once again time to kick off our Annual Campaign! While asking for money tends not to be one of our favorite things to do, there are a couple of reasons why the Y campaign is different. The first reason is for the good work that our YMCA is doing. Think of the explosion of participation in our youth programs and the lives we are touching. Think of the Silver Sneakers staying active and engaged. Think of the kids at the Chavers Community Center getting a safe environment to be kids while learning core values. All of these and many more are possible by the generosity of our donors and the efforts of our campaigners. Know that what you are doing is worthwhile and is making a difference.

Secondly, our campaign is established and growing. A number of years ago, after having failed to have a campaign for a long time, we resurrected the Annual Campaign. We not only had to reinvent the wheel, we had to educate our donors. Every year we are telling the YMCA story when we are out there soliciting for this cause. Now we have a good number of donors who know the YMCA story and are willing to help when asked. Every year we hope to add to our list of donors, allowing for our campaign to grow stronger and create greater opportunity.
